Troy Stevens

Troy is one of the most sought after Professional Power Skating coaches in the Twin Cities. He is one of the skating coaches for the New Jersey Devils (NHL), Minnesota Gophers Men & Women’s teams, and US Women’s Olympic Team.  He has over 20 years of teaching experience with players from all levels in North America & Europe including players & professional leagues in the United States, Germany, and Russia.

Levels he has worked with: NHL, KHL, AHL, US Jr. National Teams, NCAA, USHL, MHL, DNL, NAHL, and US Select Camps.  He works closely with students, developing innovative hockey specific, situational, and position drills to break down all technical aspects of skating, in order to help them reach their individual goals.

He has worked with NHL players such as:
Zach Parise, Drew Stafford, Kyle Okposo, T.J. Galiardi, Andy Greene, Rod Pelley, Sheldon Brookbank, Patrice Cormier, Casey Borer, Ryan Stoa, Aaron Ness, Nick Leddy and Dmitry Lugin.

He has recently worked in Khabarovsk, Russia (training the HC Amur Khabarovsk – KHL), Yekaterinburg, Russia (as a guest instructor at Pavel Datsyuk’s Hockey camp) and also in Mannheim, Germany (with the Jungadler Mannheim U16 & U18 teams)

Since 1993, Troy has also worked with Pro Edge Power, which is one of the top power skating schools in Minnesota.  He is currently the Assistant Director and one of the Head Instructors.

Troy played seven years of professional hockey, split between the ECHL, UHL, and WPHL. Prior to playing professionally, Stevens skated for Union College (ECAC) where he was selected to the ECAC All-Rookie team and won the Union College Freshman Athlete of the year.
